Hello World!
I grew up in Canada, Switzerland, and India in a mixed family. We traveled extensively, learned multiple languages, and experienced a variety of cultures. These early experiences shaped my belief that our planet is better when it is diverse and inclusive.
I began my career with an education in architecture, which was the original startup boot camp. In architecture school, we learned to solve real-world problems, understand stakeholders, and turn visions into reality by managing complex projects. This skill set equipped me to become an entrepreneur. I was so eager to get started in the world that I dropped out to found a student travel company in my mid-20s.
The travel company I founded grew over a 12-year period to become the largest student travel company in North America. At its peak, we had over 500 full- and part-time employees and were organizing travel for nearly 100,000 students each year. Building the company from the ground up was a tremendous experience, providing me with invaluable insights into scaling operations, team leadership, and the complexities of the travel industry.
Throughout my career, I've focused on creating innovative and meaningful travel experiences, building companies that connect people with the world in new ways. My journey has allowed me to collaborate with talented teams, lead diverse projects, and continually explore the intersection of travel and technology. I thrive on turning ambitious ideas into reality, whether launching a new venture, shaping a brand, or driving growth in an existing business.
Since stepping down as CEO of the student travel company, I’ve taken an extended paternity leave to spend time with my family. We've traveled extensively, and watching my daughter flourish has been both a true joy and my greatest challenge so far. I am now focused on helping other businesses grow as an investor and advisor. While I remain passionate about travel and technology, I’m also keen to support those tackling the great challenges of our time—renewable energy, circular economies, alternative business models to winner-take-all capitalism, land stewardship, and promoting healthy, plant-based lifestyles.
